Choosing the right high school for your child is an important and sometimes daunting task. We want your decision to be an informed one. A few things to consider:
- Only two high schools in Denver are currently rated “excellent.” One of those schools, the Denver School of Science and Technology, has greatly influenced the direction of DVS.
- In the average DPS high school, fewer than 60% of students graduate. We believe we can achieve a 100% graduation rate at DVS and help all of our students enroll in college.
- A student who earns a college degree can expect, over his or her lifetime, to earn $1 million more than a high school drop-out
As a new school, Denver Venture School is an unknown quantity. However, its founding principles, coupled with strong support from the business and philanthropic communities, demonstrates its vitality and bright future. Based on solid academic research, and founded by a team with a successful track record, DVS is poised to become the next great school choice option in Denver.
As a charter school, DVS is free to attend. There are no selective admissions criteria. Students are asked to complete an application, and if there are more applicants than available openings, a lottery will be conducted to determine admission.
